Dobrovenko O. Strategic Planning in the Banking Institutions of Ukraine

The thesis develops approaches to implementation of strategic planning in the banking institutions of Ukraine. The study undertakes elucidation of concepts and categories related to strategic planning, bringing the institutions competitive advantages and sustainability, identifying a comprehensive system of financial indicators. New methodological approaches are suggested for making out stages of strategic planning in a bank. The research categorizes the position of strategic planning in the system of strategic management. The thesis reveals the essence of theoretical approaches to the strategic planning mechanism based on financial indicators that take into account all aspects of activities of the banking institutions. The advantages are shown as to the methods of Balanced Scorecard used for spotting strategic objectives and indicative financial characteristics of the bank's strategic plan.
