Popov O. Review of judgments in civil cases by the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

The thesis deals with the place and role of the Supreme Court of Ukraine in the instance system of courts of civil jurisdiction and proceedings for review of judgments in civil cases by the Supreme Court of Ukraine. The procedural legal nature of the review of judgments in civil cases by the Supreme Court of Ukraine is disclosed. The concept of reforming the system of powers of the Supreme Court of Ukraine is proposed, in order to improve its efficiency in the civil justice system. The content of the right to review of judgments by the Supreme Court of Ukraine, as part of the right of judicial protection, the procedural order of judicial review, and the powers of the Supreme Court of Ukraine are explored. The deficiencies of legal regulation are identified and the proposals for their elimination and improvement of the procedure of judgments review in civil cases by the highest judicial body are made. Special attention is paid to research judicial decisions of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. The features rulings of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, which adopted the results of review of judicial decisions are characterized and the issue of implementation the legal certainty principle in these legal acts is solved.
