Essay

The dissertation investigates the nature and content features of manipulative technologies as a part of political campaigns. Author determined the basic functions of manipulative techniques to perform in political campaigns: motivationally - mobilization, consolidating and distracting. It was proposed the authoring classification of manipulative technologies used in political campaigns. By way of relaying, manipulative techniques were divided into "field" and media ones. The short-term and potentially long-term manipulative techniques were singled out according the duration of action. It was found that mosaic and undeveloped political culture was accompanied by the use of primitive and brutal manipulation technologies. Three levels of combating manipulative techniques were revealed. The personal one that provides warning and protection on a personal level. And level of political campaigns and political actors subjects, that gives prevention and protection from manipulation attacks of competitors. State-institutional level, that prevents and counteracts the manipulative use of technologies in the legislative, regulatory and legal aspects as much as possible.
