Essay

The research encompasses the hygienic aspects of evaluation of physical development of newborns, as well as interdependence of physical development of newborns and the medical and social life conditions, peculiarities of their mothers' pregnancy, daily routine, working conditions and personal characteristics. Scientific grounds are provided for the prognostic criteria of basic indicators of physical development in ontogenesis of the newborns. These criteria reflect medical and social conditions (medical and social prognostic determinant) along with the peculiarities of the mothers' daily activities (re-gime prognostic determinant) and their personality features (personality prognostic de-terminant). The research elaborates the reference normative tables of evaluation of physi-cal development of newborns in Podilsky region of Ukraine and the method of integrated scoring of the risk of adverse changes in basic indicators of physical development and morphofunctional state of newborns.
