Khomyshyn O. Fedir Dudko's Prose in the context of the Western Literature in the 20-30-s of the XX-th century.

In the dissertation it has been done a comprehensive specific historical analysis of Fedir Dudko's prose heritage in the context of the general trends of the western literature of the interwar two-decade period as well as individual works, closest to the writer's prose in the plane of style, range of problems, ideological and artistic vectors. The work aims at composite and systematic study of the ideological and aesthetic nature of the artist's prose, the analysis of its subject, genre and stylistic, ideological and artistic originality.The systemogenesis of F. Dudko's artistic thinking that revealed itself in the originality of the created world-view and in the different genres - texts has been studied in the light of the five main concepts - pathos, genre, psychologism, chronotope and narration. It has been examined the singularity of the artistic conflicts, genre and stylistic, structural and compositional features of the writer's prose. It has been cleared up that the gravity of the artist's idiostyle to the impressionistic style dominant in the early period of his activity is determined not only by the literary tradition, but also the biographical - philosophical aspects. By analyzing of the genre and stylistic peculiarity of the collection of works "Beauty of Life", the role of the literary tradition in shaping writer's creative interests and his innovation features has been defined.
