Object - the process of teaching Mathematical disciplines to technical university students; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested didactic conditions of cognitive activity development in students of technical universities in the process of learning Mathematical disciplines on raising the level of training of future professionals; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the term "cognitive activity development in students of technical universities in the process of learning Mathematical disciplines" has been analysed; the researched didactic conditions have been substantiated; the structure providing for the development of cognitive activity in students has been suggested in order to raise the quality of training of technical university students in Mathematics and ensure students' intellectual development, efficient acquisition of knowledge, practical skills and habits that are important for future specialists; the criteria and levels of cognitive activity development in students of technical universities in the process of learning Mathematical disciplines have been specified; methods and modes for holding Mathematical disciplines seminars in technical universities have acquired further investigation; results - the didactic conditions of cognitive activity development in students of technical universities in the process of learning Mathematical disciplines have been researched, substantiated and experimentally tested. The main ideas, results and conclusions of the research have to be considered by teachers of Mathematical disciplines while compiling teaching programmes, sets of teaching and methodological support materials for technical university students, while working out thematic plans, lecture series, practical classes and seminars, teaching manuals and collections of Mathematical tasks; field - pedagogy.
