Musiyenko K. The pharmacognostic study of Ligustrum vulgare L. and the creation of drug substances based on it.

The thesis for a candidate of science degree in speciality 15.00.02 - pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy. - National University of Pharmacy Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Kharkiv, 2014. The thesis is devoted to the system pharmacognostic study of Ligustrum vulgare shoots, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds, and remedies on its basis were worked out Standardization of the plant material and remedy was carried out. Macro - and microscopic characteristics of leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds were set with selection of diagnostic features. Lipophilic complexes of the leaves and seeds were received, qualitative composition and quantitative content of BASs were determined. Component composition and the quantitative determination of 12 organic acids, 17 amino acids, 15 macro - and microelements 11 compounds of phenolic nature in the leaves, 70 compounds, distilled with steam in flowers were determined. The quantitative determination of different groups of phenolic compounds (eleutheroside B, the sum of oxidizable phenols, the sum of flavonoids, tannins and the sum of catechins) in the leaves, flowers and fruits Ligustrum vulgare were carried out. Process parameters of the leaves and the process of obtaining a tincture from this raw material were established, their standardization was carried out, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities were proven.Complex of the studies was carried out, prerequisites of implementation into industrial production of this remedies were developed. The projects of the Quality control methods for the "Ligustrі leaves" and "Ligustrі tincture" were worked out.
