Ogorodnyk I. Surgical treatment of complex tissue face defects with prelaminated flaps

The dissertation is based on the data of complex clinical investigation and surgical treatment of 64 patients with complex tissue defects of the face. The reasons of unsatisfactory follow-up results in comparison group of patients were analysed. Prelamination is one of few reconstructive methods which can allows us to create flaps with necessary characteristics and to improve results of complex tissue defects reconstruction. An experimental study on 40 rats was carried to investigate histologic changes in prelaminated flaps tissues such as cartilage and mucous grafts in different ways of their simple or complex prelamination. Depending from face defects characteristics and localization the most perspective prelaminated flaps were determined. Existing prelamination reconstructive methods were improved and developed new ones. Offered tactics and operative receptions have allowed to increase good results rate from 36 to 63% and descrease postoperative surgical correction rate from 77,3 до 35%.
