Trofymenko A. Institute of lobbyism in Canada: experience for Ukraine

The present thesis is devoted to the analysis of the lobbyism as law and policy institute in Canada, as well as development of scientific and practical recommendations regarding lobbyism institutionalization in Ukraine. In the thesis theoretical approaches to the conceptual and categorical framework of lobbyism are systematized; the topic, the subject and the object of lobbying activity, its methods, technologies, lobbyism typology, functions, and forms are determined; modern conditions of scientific research and resource base of Canadian lobbyism are analyzed. The genesis of constitutional and legal regulation of lobbyism in Canada are determined; contents and main requirements of Canadian law are designated; process of becoming and basic direction of activity of the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying of Canada as a supervisory body that monitors lobbying process in the state are analyzed. Main stages and peculiarities of the establishment of civilized form of lobbyism in Canada are singled out; the structural model of lobbyism institute of Canada is worked out through research of lobbying subject and object, methods and tools of lobbying activity; problems and particularity of Ukrainian lobbyism are analyzed; practical recommendations regarding lobbyism institutionalization in Ukraine on the basis of Canadian experience are offered.
