Artemenko H. Structural-Semantic Modelling of Phraseological Units: Logical and Illogical

The thesis presents the analysis of Ukrainian logical and illogical phraseological units in terms of the relationship of lingual and mental factors in the formation of stable units. The structural-semantic modelling method has been applied as a schematic representation of the process of forming the external form according to the generalized semantics of the denotatum. The peculiarities of conceptual metonymy in the formation of certain types of logical and illogical phraseological units have been modelled. The connection between the conceptual referent and the phraseological unit's correlate as the reflection of the different frame schemes has been demonstrated.
