The object of study - the processes of growth, development of plants and the formation of a high and sustainable yield of fodder beet quality and biochemical parameters depending on the biological characteristics of varieties and hybrids, sowing time and density of host plants in crops in the conditions of forest-steppe of Western. Purpose scientific substantiation, development and improvement of modern technologies of cultivation of fodder beet to produce high yields of crops depending on varieties and hybrids, optimization of sowing time and density of host plants in the crop. Research methods - visual, measuring and weighing, calculation, chemical analysis, mathematical-statistical, computational and comparative. In the thesis presented the patterns of growth and development of fodder beet of the studied varieties and hybrids in the conditions of forest-steppe of Western, the effect of sowing time and plant density on the duration of the vegetation period, determined photosynthetic activity of fodder beet plants, depending on varieties and hybrids, sowing time and plant density in the crop shown a direct correlation between yield and number of leaves per plant, leaf area surface, photosynthetical potential of fodder beet, the changes in the yields of fodder beet depending on biological characteristics of variety, sowing time and plant density, qualitative indicators of fodder beet depending on the investigated elements of technology in the experiments. Implemented in the farms Khmelnytsky, Ternopil and Chernivtsi Regions on the area of 25,5 hectares. Application area: agriculture.
