Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the scientific problem of the modern obstetrics: prognosis and prevention of the development retardation syndrome in children with low and extremely low body mass, aimed at reduction of the perinatal loss percentage. The studied anamnesis data were used to define the fetal retardation development risk factors and detect the polymorphic genes of the folate cycle (methylenetetrahydrofolatoreductase (MTHFR C667T, MTRR II e22Met(66a-g)), factors of the blood coagulation system (Leyden mutation (F5 G1691A) and prothrombin G20210A gene mutation, which cause the placental dysfunction development and consequently the fetus retardation syndrome. For the first time in obstetrics folic and acetylsalicylic acids' preparations were administered to prevent the development of the fetus retardation syndrome. The research has defined efficacy of the prevention measures according to the decreased percentage of the fetal growth abnormalities for 40% in the main groups (according to the ultrasound fetometry, placentometry, dopplerometry, biophysical fetal profile, cardiotocography, STV interval, hormone profile, morphological examination of placenta and physical examination of the newborns) due to administration of the folic acid, dosed 400 mkg per day during 3 months before the fertilization and 16 months of gestation as well as the acetylsalicylic acid, dosed 75,0 mkg, from the 12th to the 24th gestation weeks. Consequently this provides for the decreased perinatal loss percentage.
