Sepikhanova M. The course, diagnostics and treatment of multiple sclerosis in patients of different age groups

The thesis presents the results of clinical and neurological,, neuroimaging and immunological examination of 120 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), depending on the age of patients. It was established that most possible risk factors of MS in all ages is emotional stress and acute respiratory viral infections. In case of late debut of the first symptoms of MS are mainly motor impairment, early - often visual. Patients with advanced age debut in the RS have significantly more primary progressive and secondary progressive course options. On the same duration of disease of older patients with more significant neurological deficits compared to younger patients - on a scale EDSS. Established that cognitive impairment determined in 47.5% of patients with MS and disorders characterized mainly targeting serial accounts, short-term and long-term memory, optical-spatial disorders and are more significant in older patients.
