Krynytska I. Family violence against children as a social phenomenon of modern Ukrainian society.

The object of the research: domestic violence against children as a social phenomenon. The objective is to develop sociological concept of domestic violence against children as well as find out peculiarities of social interpretation of this phenomenon in modern Ukrainian society. Research methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification, survey, and essay analysis. Theoretical and practical results: domestic violence against children was analyzed in the view of social constructionism; this phenomenon was defined through interdependence of cognitive, active and estimative aspects of respondents' legal consciousness; the author learned social estimation of juvenile justice implementation in order to protect children's rights and investigated empirically social interpretation of this phenomenon in modern Ukrainian society. Level of implementation: the results of the study were used in the process of teaching subjects "Fundamentals of social and legal protection" and "Socialization" in Ukrainian Academy of Printing.
