Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the topical issue of improving the cohesion characteristics of the locomotive with the jet-abrasive impact on the contact zone of the driving wheel and rail. Method for improving cohesion between wheels and rails, consisting in a JAI on the surface of interaction, where the abrasive material cleans the surfaces and removes surface impurities, has been developed. On the basis of theoretical simulation results the parameters of the JAI system on the formation of the surface layer of the rails were determined, which allows to control the friction between wheel and rail in the range of 0,3-0,41. The regression equation of dependence of the coefficient of friction between wheel and rail on the parameters of the JAI system on the zone of their contact is obtained. The dependences of the coefficient of friction under different friction surfaces conditions and different methods of its improvement are obtained, which show the effectiveness of the use of the JAI system.
