In the thesis, on the basis of finding out the state of research in science issues related to combating criminal subculture influence on the formation of illegal behavior sentenced to imprisonment in Ukraine , the definition of the historical background (origin) the emergence and development of social culture , formulated its concept, and made criminological and penal characteristics of the current state and trends of its impact on the process performance and serving a sentence of imprisonment and developed evidence-based measures to improve the legal mechanism for combating specified social hazards based on good international practice and general social and individual levels.
