Gorkova A. Protection of the archeological heritage as a part of activities conducted by state and public organizations of Kyiv (1835-1934).

In Ukraine (1835-1934) monument protection was an advancing and uneven process that occurred due to development, improvement, and substitution of one monument protection institutions by others. Development dynamics of Kyiv organizations is covered in a historic context. It has been analyzed a structure of Kyiv state and public institutions and basic principles of their interaction in the sphere of protection and preservation of archeology monuments. A complicated formation process of laws and regulations in the sphere of cultural heritage protection is included in the thesis. It is established that scientific achievements of leading centers in the sphere of monument protection are becoming indicators of a general trend in the scientific research, reflecting the formed scientific thinking at the first historic stage.
