Vasylyshen Y. Banks in forming of the region's investment potential

This thesis research is devoted to deepening theoretical and methodological approaches to the development of the investment potential of the region and substantiation of practical recommendations for banks participating in this process. The essence of the investment potential has been revealed in this manuscript. Its regional specifics and resource component have also been taken into consideration. According to this, the investment potential of the region is the dialectical unity between the actual and potential accumulated financial resources and territory's capabilities for their effective use with intentions to provide sustainable development of the abovementioned region. The main financial resources that forms the investment potential of the region have been studied and the principles of their formation have also been clarified. The author proved that the accumulation of current and future financial resources is the basis for improving the financial stability of the region. It has been clarified the role of banks in the development and implementation of the investment potential of the region. The concept of regional banking system has been explored. The participation of regional banks in syndicated loan issuing has been revealed. It was recommended the organizational and economic mechanism of syndicated loans algorithm. The classification of the regional banks' main functions has been suggested. These functions are the following: investment, system-forming, emission, serving, stabilization and social.
