The thesis concerns theoretical and practical aspects of criminal characterization of the harm to life and health of a person during sports activities. The author outlines the scope of sports activities as behaviour subject to criminal assessment, which can cause the harm to life and health of a person. Foreign experience of legal regulation of the harm to life and health of a person during sports activities is researched. It is established that the criminal nature of the lawful infliction of harm to life and health of a person during sports activities belongs to criminal defences.
