Essay

The thesis covers the crucial issue of the modern obstetrics - the approach for the reduction of the incidence of obstetric and perinatal complications in cohort of women who experienced the surgery on the thyroid gland during pregnancy. The approach included the development of the special complex of the therapeutic and preventive measures, based on an assessment of pregnancy and childbirth period, thyroid homeostasis and functional status of fetoplacental complex, immune and psycho-emotional state before and after surgical treatment of thyroid cancer and Graves' disease, assessment of the fetal and newborn state. There were revealed the circulatory disorders in the fetoplacental complex; as well as the increase of personal and reactive anxiety; increased levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines; violation of calcium and phosphorus metabolism in pregnant who experienced the surgery on the thyroid gland during pregnancy. There was a fairly high percentage of threatened abortion and premature birth. The proposed set of therapeutic and preventive measures, aimed at correcting the identified violations, improved mental state, has reduced the incidence of complications at the mother and fetus and is based on the monitoring of TG and anti-Tg antibodies after the operation with the refusal of treatment with radioactive iodine after delivery, enables full breastfeeding newborn particular group of women in childbirth.
