In the dissertation the state of respiratory and skeletal muscle in COPD patients depending on the availability of GERD, its type and estimate the prevalence of markers of systemic and respiratory muscle dysfunction, depending on the clinical course and duration of the disease. It was found that for the screening status of skeletal muscle in patients with COPD is advisable to determine the mass of muscles, the percentage of muscle in body weight and muscle strength, and to assess respiratory dysfunction - to determine the specific effect of the respiratory muscles. It was found that the comorbidity of COPD with GERD significantly increasing signs of respiratory muscle dysfunction, including in such patients the absolute and specific force inspiratory and expiratory muscles is significantly lower than in patients with isolated COPD. Manifestation of respiratory muscle dysfunction more significant when combined COPD with erosive form of GERD. It is shown that the effect of pharmacotherapy gastroesophageal disorders on the respiratory and skeletal muscle, lung function, and quality of life in COPD patients with comorbidity with GERD. It was found that taking proton pump inhibitors not only normalizes the esophagus, but also significantly improves the efficiency of basic therapy: improves the functional state of muscles, respiratory function and quality of life in COPD patients with GERD.
