Essay

The thesis is devoted to the generalization of theoretical and methodological approaches to take account of environmental factors while assessing the economic efficiency of forest management and presented the author's solution of scientific and methodological task - improvement of theoretical, scientific and methodological provisions for determining the investment attractiveness of forestry projects under the Kyoto Protocol. The analyses shows that afforestation and forest management are the most attractive destinations in the ecological sense to combat climate change. Immediate afforestation of degraded lands of Central Polessye will be the significant contribution to reduce greenhouse gas concentration in the atmosphere and achieve the goal of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
