The research object: the range of socio-economic relations that arise over the inclusion of the family into the economic system of society. The purpose of the thesis: a complex study of the transformation of the economic functions of the family in modern conditions, and the scientific substantiation of ways of state family policy on this basis . Methods: a systematic and structural-functional analysis, methods of theoretical comparison, generalization and abstraction, historical and statistical analysis, graphic analysis. New theoretical and practical results: it was first substantiated the structuring of the economic functions of the family into internal and external, basic and derivative and it was first proved that the family in terms of the global resource and demographic crisis becomes an element of the fundamental bases of national competitive advantages; the demonstration of the position that the market transformation deepens the social, property and family income inequality, which provokes different reproductive family practices; understanding of the complex multi-directional influence of techno-economic and socio-economic factors on the traditional family model destruction by taking into account the degree of penetration of market relations into the family; the further development of the idea that the crisis condition of the modern (nuclear) families has a destructive effect on the realization of its economic functions and of the methodological approaches to the study of the transformation of the family economic functions as a complex bio-socio-spiritual phenomenon by means of interdisciplinary interactions of behavioral sciences. Application field: research, teaching activities, practical activities of state social policy department.
