The dissertation is devoted to the complex theoretical research and development of practical recommendations to prevent the financial crisis of banks in an unstable market environment. Theoretical an methodological principles for preventing financial crisis of bank institutions in an unsteady market environment are specified. The classification of crisis causes for banking system is given, that will help develop anti-crisis measures for banks in good times. On the basis of the bank system study tendencies for its active development in recent years are defined. The analysis of the financial situation of the probed banks has been conducted and financial insolvency of bank institutions has been evaluated. The system of indexes is improved to perform every quarter analysis of bank institution which includes coefficients, which characterize financial firmness, business activity an efficiency of managing a bank, in order to reveal causes of worsening the financial situation of bank institutions. The model of calculating the integral rating of the financial situation of bank institutions is offered, application of which will allow to find out causes of the unsatisfactory situation of some banks and form directions of improving their activity in a long-term prospect.
