Polyusevych Y. The economy of Ukraine in the works by foreign Ukrainian economists (20-80 years of the XX-th century)

The thesis is devoted to a comprehensive research of views that had representatives of Ukrainian expatriate community on a place and role of Ukrainian economy in Soviet economic system. Basing on methodology of civilization paradigm and a system approach it has been analyzed views of Ukrainian diaspora representatives on peculiarities of Ukrainian economy as a part of the UUSR on different stages of establishment and development of Soviet economic system. It has been established that representatives of Ukrainian emigration considered that New Economic Policy periods were the most efficient for development of Ukrainian economy. Industrialization and collectivization stages were considered by them as such that significantly increased dependency of Ukrainian economy on the center and deepened disproportions in the industry. With respect to a reform period of the 50-80-ies of the ХХ century in the thesis it is made an inference that a view of Ukrainian diaspora representatives on these processes allows to assess the reforms to a greater extend, to see their positive and adverse effects for Ukrainian economy.
