Rozhkova K. Capitalization as a factor of ensuring the financial sustainability of the banking system of Ukraine

The object: economic relations that arise in the process of banks' capitalization and regulation. The aim: to develop of scientific and methodological foundations of banks' capitalization and to acknowledge practical recommendations for improvement the quality characteristics of the banks' capitalization process, improvement the available instruments, adapting international best practices of increasing and maintaining banks' capital to the level that is sufficient to ensure the financial stability of the banking system Ukraine. Methods of the research: systematic analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, benchmarking, economic-mathematical modeling. Novelty: it has been developed the scientific and methodological framework for the assessment of banks' capitalization that is based on the definition of corporate governance quality; it allows to identify banks that have the low efficiency of business processes and limited capacity for increasing capitalization and insuring financial stability in the long term. The results are required in National Commission for Securities and Stock Market, SEB Corporate Bank PJSC, PJSC CB "EUROBANK", INVESTMENT TRUST BANK PJSC, "BANK FOR INVESTMENTS AND SAVINGS" PJSC, "SE "PERSPEKTIVA" РJSC, Institute for Economics and Forecasting Ukrainian National Academy of Science.
