Yatsura K. Openness of Society in the Context of Democratic Transformations

The object - openness of society as a socio-political phenomenon. The objective is to determine the basic characteristics of an openness of society in the context of democratic transformations. The study employs the systematic, historical, comparative and other methods. The theoretical and practical results obtained are a complex theoretical and methodological analysis conducted of the openness of society as the foundation effective democratic transformations. The novelty lies in determine the principles and basic characteristics of an openness of society; the author's definition suggested of the openness of society; the public spheres determined that in transitional societies require an obligatory modification in accordance with the principles of openness; openness indicators defined; strategies outlined for implementation of the open society principles. The rate of implementation consists in the specific recommendations elaborated as to shaping an open democratic society in contemporary Ukraine. The scope of application covers the activity of power structures, political and public organizations.
