Essay

The object of research is manufacturing method for production of sintered porous antifriction products based on the joint compaction of mixture of base powders and an organic pore-former to provide controlled porosity and pore sizes. Research techniques and instruments are experimental techniques, numerical finite element Abaqus-based simulation of processes of powder mixtures compaction, and mathematical statistics techniques. Theoretical and practical results are the general trends in compaction and sintering of powder materials' ferrous-copper-graphite mixtures with addition of organic pore-former, practical guidelines on improvement and perfection of technology and die tooling. The prime novelty statement of this dissertation is in establishment of influence of pore-former and its fractional composition on the relative density value, spew pressure for compacts, quality of oil impregnation, thus enabling to ground and to propose new ways for production of sintered porous antifriction products with enhanced performance characteristics. Practical recommendations and guidelines on improvement and perfection of technology and die tooling for the production of sintered bearing materials with high performance parameters were formulated and presented for the industry (official acts about usage of research results are available). The application field is associated with enterprise engineering and metallurgy departments, and sectoral applied-research institutes.
