In the work it is given the results of the carried out complex researches on the considerable number of animals of the Ukrainian Black spotted dairy breed of some generations and it was obtained new data in reference the determination of parameters and peculiarities of the influence of without binding and binding ways of housing on the formation of indexes of their growth, development, reproductive ability, dairy productivity and milk quality. It was determined that it is necessary for further formation of highly productivity herds of cows of Ukrainian Black and spotted dairy breed to use heifers of the age of 16-18 months with live weight not lower 400 kg of well prepared to the reproduction with a strong constitution which will ensure the achievement of the milk productivity of 9-10 thousands kg per lactation with the expenditures of feed-stuff at bound housing - 0.88 feed units and at without bound one - 1.06 feed units per 1 kg of milk.
