Object: the poems of Ukrainian writers, published in the magazines "The Bell" and "Moloda Ukraina" (Ludmyla Voloshka, P. Gai, L. Glibov, P. Grab, B. Grinchenko, Maryna Tkachenkivna, K. Uhach, Lesya Ukrainka, T. Shevchenko and others); a collection of poems for children "Children, stop sleeping" written by Olena Pchilka; collections of poems written by Christian Felix Weisse "Songs for Children" and by Christian Overbeck "Songs of little Fritz". Goal: to reveal the features of forming of the concept "children's poetry" in Ukrainian and German literatures in the purposeful forming by adults the specific phenomenon - literature for children. Methods: comparative typological, comparative historical, biographical methods, anthropological approach, the method of the textual analysis. Results, novelty: for the first time in Ukrainian literature studies the comparative study of the poetry for children is accomplished with the influence of anthropological factors on children's poetry. Areas of use: the course of Ukrainian and foreign children's literature in the universities.
