Thesis is devoted to the research of theoretical and applied issues of an interaction of local authorities and local governments. Paper analyzes the theoretical basis of this social and legal phenomenon. In particular, doctrinal bases of the interaction of local authorities and local governments are examined. Methodological aspects of its study are researched. Author's definition of such an interaction is formulated, its features are distinguished and principles are characterized. The forms, methods and legal acts of an interaction of local government bodies and local authorities are considered.
