Shafranska I. Economic thought of Western Ukraine in the last third of the XIX - the first third of the XX century

The thesis investigates the conditions and characteristics of economic thought in Western Ukraine in the last third of XIX - the first third of the twentieth century. The problem's historiography and archival materials are that had not been widely used before. In economic thought of Western Ukraine in the last third of XIX - the first third of the twentieth century. The following trends are determined: muscophiles, populists, old populists, radicals, revolutionary democrats, social democrats, Christian Democratic trend. Author allaforated the scheme of Western scholars belonging to certain trends of socio-political and economic thought. Autor analysed the solution of agricultural issues, problems of statistics and finance in the works of Western Ukrainian scholars and journalists in the last third of XIX - the first third of the twentieth century, investigated the development of the theory of cooperation. The thesis provides the recommendations conserving the usage of Western Ukrainian scientists work in solving contemporary problems.
