Zubkovych S. Relationship between the hydrometeorological hazards and wind anomalies over the eastern Ukraine

The object is the speed and the direction of wind and circulation conditions, which form wind anomalies. The aim is determination the statistic characteristic of wind fields and detection of the typical synoptic situations, wich cause to dangerous hazards; methods are the synoptical-climatic analysis, physical and statistical analysis; the results are based on materials from 1993 to 2012 has been conducted the physical and statistical analysis of wind regime in order to identify cases of wind anomalies. Considered atmospheric processes related with high levels of air pollution, specified types of circulation Kс for prediction of meteorological conditions for air pollution.The catalog of the synoptic processes and the B.L. Dzerzeevsky's catalog of elementary circulation mechanisms (ECM) for 20 years (1993-2012) has been compiled. Basic synoptic situations contributing to formation of hydrometeorological hazards have been determined.The joint quantitative analysis of frontal parameter and wind spe ed fields with special focus on the identification of the hazard zones of wind has been conducted. The results obtained for winter and autumn cases and related with output of southern cyclones can be generalized with similar situations, and frontal parameter may be used as a quantitative characteristics; as one of the predictors of the forecast of strong winds and squalls.The implementation degree - implemented; the branch of using - hydrometeorological centers.
