Hrushevska T. Improving the organization of rail commuter services in the transport of large cities

Dissertation is devoted to the development of technological and organizational measures, application of mathematical models and software for suburban passenger services using the technology and the competitive advantages of rail transport at the transport services in large cities. The first time developed, proposed and implemented to the level of practical calculation the model for assessing the chances of choice of carrier by the passenger, depending on the technological, organizational and other factors of transportation provided by the carrier. The theoretical approaches to formalization of passenger traffic on suburban lines as a function of system effects of technological, organizational and other factors was improved. The methods of establishing correspondence of passenger traffic, which is determined by the proposed method of proportions was improved. Further development was given to: mathematical models of suburban passenger traffic organization on the basis of technological, organizational and economic factors to increase the efficiency and quality of passenger service; empirical relationships to help determine fluctuations in passenger traffic within the railway junction, as well as the number of trains in the variation coefficient of unevenness of passenger traffic, the number of carriages in the train; mathematical model, which allows to describe the filling platform passengers for any passenger train and the interval between trains. The work consists of an introduction, five chapters, general conclusions, list of references and annexes.
