Korol I. Protection of Privacy: Criminal Law and Criminological Aspects

The author analyzed the scientific and theoretical concepts of the notion of privacy and defined its boundaries, outlined the system of criminological factors of privacy violation and the causes and conditions conducive to the perpetration of attacks on privacy were also determined. The investigation discloses generic, specific and immediate objects of the crimes infringing on privacy, concept and basic features of confidential information about a person subject to criminal protection. The theoretical positions were investigated, features and gaps of criminal law protection of professional (trusted) secrets and proprietary information about person' private life under current criminal law were found out.
