Essay

The object of research: measurement of the photometric characteristics of the LEDs. Objective: To develop methods and tools for high-precision photometric measurements of LEDs, taking into account the recommendations of CIE 127-2007. Research Methods: mathematical modeling techniques with the use of computer technology, optical and electrical measurement methods, modern methods of processing the results of measurements and the theory of uncertainty. Developed by: Methodology of measuring instruments, which ensures its self-calibration, improved accuracy and traceability of the measurement results. Further developement of a method for measuring the photometric characteristics of high-power LEDs, which allows to explore the dependence of the light flux on the installed and maintained LED p-n-junction temperature during measurement. For the first time shown that by increasing the uniformity of sensitivity throughout input aperture photometer can improve the accuracy of measuring photometric characteristics of LEDs. Developed and researched goniophotometer facility and comparator-facility with trap detector for transfer of light and energy scale from the primary standards. Implemented: developed measurement tools and techniques implemented at the Institute of Semiconductor Physics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and in the educational process of the department of lighting engineering and sources of light O. M. Beketov NUUEKh. Application: research of new LED light sources, calibration of measuring devices.
