The thesis is devoted to the geographical-toponimical studies modern place-systems in Chernigiv region. The theoretical and methodological aspects of geographical-toponimical analysis are stated. Combination of methods of toponymical context by K. N. Tishchenko, landscape-geographical and historical-migration methods is the main of geographical-toponimical analysis in dissertation. The features and differences place-names of building process that basing on the studies nomination traditions, structure-morphological types of geographical-toponymic systems to detect archaic settlement are analysed. The regularity of the geographical distribution of place names Chernihiv region are analysed. The explained number of proposals using toponymic information in the recreational, tourism activities through restoration of productions of the past.
