Essay

The object of study is a vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow at controlled intersections. The designed formalization model of vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow at the regulated intersection, allows to represent the input characteristics more fully and minimize the time intervals between bypass of conflict areas, resulting an increased safety and reduced lost time in the regulation cycle. The control algorithms of traffic lights signaling at the intersection were determined with using of separated directions method in view of the optimal ratio between the main cycles and transition intervals in areas of conflict regulation.
