Essay

It is substantiated to use the energy capacitive storage in order to improve effectiveness of the power supply for a metro with recuperation system. A rational placement location of energy capacitive storage in the traction power supply system of the metro. A procedure was proposed for evaluation of the electric power when the energy capacitive storage with specified energy capacity was installed on the railway rolling stock with recuperation system. A procedure was created for researching energy consumption of energy capacitive storage necessary for bringing the rolling stock out the tunnel to the nearest station taking into account specified rolling stock operational mode and gauge profile on railroad track. A complex approach was proposed for the research of energy consumption of the energy capacitive storage. A mathematical model and determination criterion for the rational metro train operation on the track was improved. Use of developed models for electric energy quantity assessment and necessary energy consumption of energy capacitive storage during normal and emergency operation of the metro traction power supply system was confirmed experimentally.
