3. The thesis presents the results of the four years (2010-2013) research on productivity, reproductive capacity and duration of use in Holstein breed highly productive cows with the yields of 6-8 thousand or more kg of milk per lactation in foreign and domestic breeding under a year-round identical feeding and loose boxed housing and their milking in the milking hall in the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. There have been investigated the indicators of milk production, reproductive capacity and duration of use in Holstein breed highly productive cows of five origin variants including: Hungarian, Danish and German - as foreign ones, and with the Ivano-Frankivsk region and "Agrosvit" JV - as a domestic ones, for I, II, III and older lactation proved a high degree of adaptation to the conditions of identical year-round feeding and loose boxed housing and their milking in the milking room. The research has not found out significant differences in between Holstein cows of foreign and domestic origin in terms of their feed behavior, milk ejection intensity and milking duration, processing properties and biochemical composition of milk and metabolism, which also proves high adaptability of the investigated animals to the established technological conditions.
