The thesis is devoted to the improvement of early detection of target organ damage, especially the walls of the carotid arteries in women with arterial hypertension of I and II stages, using ultrasonic duplex scanning with layer-by-layer unified intimal and medial thickness. The structure of the vascular wall in apparently healthy women was studied using proposed practice. Standard indicators for them were developed depending on their age and were compared with the indicators of hypertensive female patients. The characteristics of carotid vessel wall remodeling in women depending on the duration and stage of hypertension were found. It was defined the existence and nature of interactions between the type of structural changes of the vessel wall and the type of cardiac remodeling. Additional risk factors affecting common carotid arteries remodeling were determined. Established that antihypertensive therapy with the addition of moxonidine during the year of observation can influence the structural changes of the vascular wall common carotid arteries.
