This dissertation is devoted on the peculiarities of pathogenesis, improving diagnosis and treatment of the ,,short bowel" syndrome in acute diseases of the small intestine in elderly and old patients. The thesis presents the results of evaluations features of the ,,short bowel" syndrome, priority in the application of experimental model and studied in depth effects of systemic regional complex, which contributed to a better adaptation in the postoperative period to the consequences of subtotal resection of the small intestine. Use in patients of the third group developed diagnostic and therapeutic management allowed to significantly accelerate the implementation of operational intervention combined with systemic regional complex led to a reduction in overall postoperative complications from 65% to 58.62% and postoperative mortality from 52.38 to 40, 82%.
