Essay

The work brings forward a classification of microtoponyms as to some defined motives of nomination and semantics of derivative bases. Besides, the process of formation of names beginning with the first fixation in documents till the present time is studied. The productivity of lexico-semantic types and word-building patterns at different time cuts is defined and described. Some regularities of development of the microtoponymical system of the region are found.
