The object of study - the architecture of apartment buildings of Lviv at the end of XIX - beginning of XX centuries. The purpose of research - to identify changes in the architectural and planning structure of apartment buildings in Lviv, built at the end of XIX - beginning of XX centuries, and develop guidelines for their modern reconstruction. The work to expand knowledge about the architecture of apartment buildings at the end of XIX - beginning of XX centuries, introduced into science major archive and research material, disclosed patterns of changes and recommendations are offered architectural and planning reconstruction. The thesis decided to research the task of developing the methodology of architectural and planning the reconstruction of apartment buildings of Lviv at the end of XIX - beginning of XX centuries and propose recommendations for their reconstruction. The study identified a number of factors that influence the change of architectural and planning structure of the building and support of solutions to their reconstruction. The value of the results of the practice lies in the possibility of their use for the development of programs and projects for the reconstruction of building the study period, as well as for the improvement of teaching methods, research, project activities of universities in areas of training, "Architecture" and "Construction". The results obtained in the thesis theoretical and practical results should be used in further research scholars in the field of architecture, construction, as well as history, economics and others.
