The study of social and cultural circumstances of graphic design in the United Kingdom of the second half of the 20th century revealed that post-war British design was seen as an important component of economic and social reconstruction in society, so had a serious organizational and financial support from the state. The interest of society in the development of design manifested in a phased reform of design education in the United Kingdom with a view to adapting it to the requirements of the industry.
