Essay

In the thesis, the results of the research on the methodology of teaching regional history for the high school pupils were provided. The essence of the term regional history as a historical education content component and its place in history teaching for the high school pupils was determined. The methodological approaches to the implementation of the regional history in the school education were defined. The methodological conditions for teaching high school pupils regional history at the lessons on the history of Ukraine were specified, and the state of this problem in the practice of teaching history at a comprehensive school was studied. The effectiveness of the authorial methodology of teaching pupils regional history in the school course of the history of Ukraine in the 10th-11th grades was theoretically specified and experimentally checked.
