Hutsol M. Reception of traditional images and plots in Ukrainian dramaturgy in the late 20th - early 21st century.

The attempt to carry out system-typological study of reception of traditional images and plots in the modern Ukrainian dramaturgy was made in the thesis. The issue has been revealed in the context of correlation of traditional image-bearing material and modern neomythology, creation of original text-myths, specific features of combination of ancient, pagan and Christian plots.It was determined that reception, transformation, interpretation, remythologisation and original text-myth are the most productive methods in the process of entering of traditional plots and images into the postmodern discourse. Among the peculiarities of modern reception of traditional image-bearing material, plot completing and deconstruction, remythologisation and demythologization are the most peculiar.
