Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issue of invalidation of marriage and its legal consequences. It is revealed questions about the concept of marriage in family law of Ukraine and formation of legislative provisions on its legal validity. It is theoretically justified expediency of positive conditions established by the marriage law and negative conditions (obstacles) of marriage registration. It is reviewed the notion of an invalid marriage; and it is exercised its' separation on invalid (void) and relatively invalid (contested). The common and special legal consequences of invalidity of marriage are analyzed.
