Kharaman N. Language image of the author in "Diary" by O. Dovzhenko

The theoretical background of the research category of the author's image in terms of linguistic style have been analyzed and systematized in the thesis. Sources of linguistic thinking and Oleksander Dovzhenko's artistic vision have been described. The place of epistolary style has been found in the functional varieties system of modern Ukrainian literary language. The problem of the status of diary as a genre of epistolary style has been outlined , the features of the text architectonic diary have been defined . The structural and semantic characterization of the stylistically marked vocabulary has been posted. The lexical means of expressiveness and the functional means of antonymy and synonymy have been described. The specificity of the author's use of idioms has been found. The figurative dominant in diaries have been analyzed. Investigated means of expressive syntax.
