Danko Y. Social Networks as a Form of Modern Communication: Politological Measurement

The Object - communication. The aim - consideration of social networks as a form of modern communication from the position of political science's analysis. Methods - structural-functional, institutional, theories - the social space, network and rational choice. Theoretical and practical results - a complex analysis of the functioning of social networks as an instrument the formation of the political agenda in the modern Ukrainian society. Novelty - theoretical and methodological bases of a research problem field of the social networks as a new form of information-communicative interaction in the context of theoretical proposals of P. Bourdieu and J. Coleman were proposed; it was built a working model of political practices, which reproduces the main directions and specifics of functioning of the social networks as a form of modern communication; it was identified the opportunities and the practices of using the social networking by an ordinary citizen to expand their participation in the political life of the community. Practical application - development of concrete recommendations on the use of social networking political structures in modern Ukraine. Sphere of use -political institutions, public organizations, the activities of the structures associated with the media, analytical and educational activity.
